Senior CNC Programmer (Precision Machining)

Annual base salary: $87,000–$120,400

What you will do

• Develop production processes, CNC programs, tooling, and workholding using solid models and detailed prints from Creo or Mastercam.
• Write and prove out Mastercam CNC programs and ensure they are production-ready.
• Support New Product Introduction, process development, OQ/PQ activities, and process validation.
• Create work instructions and maintain configuration management for electronic files and programs.
• Support operations with troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Apply Lean, 7S, quality management, and OSHA safety requirements across precision machining operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong 3D modeling and CAM programming skills using Mastercam.
• Expertise in 3-axis and 5-axis milling, single- and dual-spindle turning, and EDM machining.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T, composite tolerances, and dimensional inspection requirements.
• Experience with fixture and workholding design using SMED principles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting additive manufacturing production environments.
• Experience with complex aerospace, medical, defense, or other high-precision components.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, NPI, process validation, ERP, or MES systems.
