Project Architect (Facilities)

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States; onsite role

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Produce complete architectural drawing sets, including plans, sections, elevations, and technical details, across all design phases.
• Translate operational requirements into coordinated, buildable construction documentation for renovations and manufacturing facility build-outs.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, civil, and external consultant disciplines.
• Manage small-to-mid scale projects independently from programming through construction completion.
• Coordinate with facilities staff, build teams, stakeholders, and consultants as the primary design point of contact.
• Track submittals, RFIs, and design revisions; lead project meetings and document decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related design field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in architectural design, drafting, or construction documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, building science, sustainability, and field execution.
• Ability to manage concurrent projects independently, prioritize work, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Technical expertise with storefront systems, timber/wood construction, or similar specialties.
• Architectural licensure, supporting progression to Senior Project Architect.
