What you will do
- Review and maintain civil, structural, and architectural standards, including updates related to building codes and compliance.
- Lead design reviews across each phase of project deliverables and support conceptual and directional design decisions.
- Coordinate with internal and external design teams, contractors, platform delivery, and operations to ensure installed systems meet technical standards.
- Investigate technical issues, validate project readiness for service, and lead resolution of site performance shortfalls and failures.
- Review customer pursuits requiring deviations from established designs or standards and assess assets under consideration for acquisition.
- Evaluate new technologies and sustainable practices, support technical training, and communicate complex topics to senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and varied technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or an equivalent field; 10+ years of field experience may substitute.
- At least 5 years of design or project management experience in a data center environment is strongly preferred.
- Advanced experience with Excel and AutoCAD, plus the ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
- Strong understanding of data center design and construction processes, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage time and organization effectively, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate across the organization.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Nice to have
- Architecture license.
- Mechanical and electrical understanding.
- Experience with MS Project, Prolog, Procore, BIM 360, or similar project management software.
- Knowledge and experience working with CAD.
