Collections Analyst

Location: Scarborough, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 50,000–70,000 per year, plus bonus plans.

What you will do

• Perform daily telephone and email collection activities for an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and support the Cash Application team with payment details.
• Determine action plans for delinquent accounts, resolve account issues, and maintain customer relationships.
• Hold monthly accounts receivable review meetings with District and Account Managers to resolve disputes and identify problem accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and escalate collection, billing, and reconciliation issues when required.
• Prepare reports on delinquent accounts and collection efforts.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial collections experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and collection processes.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, initiative, and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a deadline- and performance-driven environment.
