Chief Technology Officer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, France, Ireland, Portugal, Sweden, or Switzerland. Working hours must overlap with Europe (GMT/WET, CET) and Eastern United States (EST).

What you will do

• Lead development of the software product, machine-learning models, internal tools, and underlying platform.
• Define and execute the technical strategy for the next 12–36 months.
• Partner with Product and Strategy to understand customer problems and drive impactful engineering initiatives.
• Build and lead a diverse, high-performing engineering organization across multiple countries and time zones.
• Lead cross-functional teams delivering a high-quality product on a daily basis.
• Strengthen communication, collaboration, and an inclusive engineering culture.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering teams from Series A through Series C or later at a venture-backed startup.
• Experience managing teams of 70 or more people, including remote and global teams.
• Experience with complex, machine-learning-based products.
• Deep understanding of software development processes and a product-centric approach to technology.
• Experience working in cross-functional engineering, product, and design teams.
• Ability to work with the required overlap across European and Eastern US time zones and reside in one of the listed countries.

• Experience with geospatial technology or remote sensing.
