Product Design Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX; Arlington, VA; New York, NY; or San Francisco, CA

Base salary: $190,000–$238,000 in Austin or Arlington; $210,000–$260,000 in New York City or San Francisco. The range excludes equity, applicable bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage and mentor four product designers across partner, individual coaching, group coaching, and coach experiences.
• Run design operations, including review cadence, Figma hygiene, handoff standards, and sprint participation.
• Bring design into product work before PRDs are written and enforce sign-off gates before engineering handoff.
• Partner with VP Product counterparts to align priorities, tradeoffs, and experience quality.
• Lead cross-pod critiques, design jams, weekly design reviews, and quarterly dogfooding.
• Remain actively involved as a player-coach while collaborating with growth, core, AI, and design systems teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience, including people management.
• Experience managing product designers across multiple product areas simultaneously.
• Strong systems thinking across B2B, B2C, and two-sided product interactions.
• Track record of bringing design upstream into product strategy and definition.
• Proficiency with Figma, modern design tools, prototyping, and design systems workflows.
• Experience with AI-powered design tools and workflows, including AI-assisted prototyping, generative design, or AI-powered user research analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience designing coaching, health, or human development platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise B2B patterns and complex administrative workflows.
• Experience with two-sided marketplace or platform design.
• Background integrating AI capabilities into product experiences.
