Training Associate (Coffee Training)

Location: In-person in Boston, MA, United States. Full-time schedule of 50 hours per week across 5 days, with flexibility to work outside store operating hours and on weekends.

Annual base salary: $75,000–$85,000, plus equity, healthcare benefits, paid time off, commuter benefits, and other perks.

What you will do

• Oversee, validate, and track baristas through the new-hire training and accreditation journey.
• Support in-store training, lead group trainings at the lab, and facilitate final barista assessments.
• Lead new-hire orientations, seasonal drink trainings, new-store opening trainings, coffee and matcha education, and team events in the Boston market.
• Conduct shift lead training certifications, product launch training, and other area training initiatives.
• Conduct quarterly product quality assessments across Boston stores and create actionable performance reporting.
• Build a learning culture, support cross-functional projects, and help develop future Training Coordinators.

Requirements

• In-person availability in Boston, MA and flexibility to work weekends and outside regular store hours.
• At least 2 years of barista and training experience within an established brand.
• Strong coffee knowledge, including expert milk steaming and precise latte art techniques.
• Ability to create detailed training content, deliver presentations, and coach individuals effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, cross-functional collaboration, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Strong focus on product quality and customer and employee experience.
