Network Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Engineer and support customer connectivity across on-prem and cloud environments, including circuit provisioning and VPN configuration.
• Troubleshoot complex network environments (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, multicast) for latency-sensitive trading systems.
• Provide real-time monitoring and incident response, analyzing telemetry and performance data to drive rapid resolution.
• Develop automation, monitoring enhancements, and observability tooling using scripting and API-driven integrations.
• Perform deep packet analysis and contribute to root cause investigations to support long-term service improvement.
• Serve as a technical escalation point, ensuring clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience with Cisco, Arista, or Palo Alto environments.
• Strong fundamentals in routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
• 2–3+ years of UNIX/Linux experience with command-line troubleshooting.
• Experience with packet analysis tools like tcpdump or Wireshark.
• Proven experience with scripting or API-driven automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Must be able to work from the London office four days per week.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of AWS cloud networking (VPCs, security groups, hybrid connectivity).
• Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana.
• Experience with high-performance packet capture platforms such as Corvil.
• Relevant industry certifications (Cisco, AWS, Palo Alto, CompTIA).
