Network Engineer (Fintech)

Location: London, United Kingdom or Amsterdam, Netherlands; four days per week in the office

What you will do

• Engineer and support customer connectivity across on-premises and cloud environments, including circuit provisioning, AWS networking, VPNs, routing, firewalls, and production changes.
• Troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, MPLS, multicast, HSRP, and other complex network environments supporting latency-sensitive trading systems.
• Monitor global network infrastructure, respond to incidents, analyze telemetry and packet loss, and drive rapid service restoration.
• Support customers through ticket queues and direct technical engagement, including connectivity validation and participant onboarding.
• Lead escalations, advanced troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, and collaboration with engineering teams and vendors.
• Develop scripting, API integrations, monitoring improvements, and observability tooling to reduce manual effort and MTTR.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience with Cisco, Arista, and/or Palo Alto environments.
• Strong routing, switching, firewall, and complex network troubleshooting skills.
• Packet analysis experience with tcpdump, Wireshark, tshark, or similar tools.
• 2–3+ years of UNIX/Linux experience, including shell access and command-line network diagnostics.
• Experience with scripting and/or API-driven automation.
• Ability to work four days per week from the London or Amsterdam office.

Nice to have

• AWS networking knowledge, including VPCs, routing, security groups, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with Grafana or similar network observability and monitoring tools.
• Experience with Corvil or other high-performance packet capture platforms.
• Relevant Cisco, AWS, Palo Alto, CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certifications.
