TL;DR
Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS): Maintaining and optimizing enterprise cloud and datacenter infrastructure across Windows, Linux, AWS, VMware, and physical compute environments with an accent on security, reliability, availability, and performance. Focus on monitoring production systems, resolving incidents within SLAs, administering AWS services, managing identity and infrastructure services, and supporting physical datacenter operations during the 10 PM to 6 AM night shift.
Location: United Kingdom — Remote; night shift from 10 PM to 6 AM

What you will do
- Maintain, monitor, and support enterprise production infrastructure across cloud and datacenter environments.
- Administer AWS resources and services with a focus on security, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Support Windows, Linux, VMware, physical compute, and medium- to high-complexity infrastructure platforms.
- Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, resolve operational issues, and communicate critical events in line with SLAs.
- Manage DNS, FTP, IIS, Active Directory, identity platforms, AWS IAM, patching, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization.
- Support physical datacenter operations, including hardware installation, cabling, racking, maintenance, and upgrades.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting large-scale production infrastructure.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Windows Server administration and server hardware and operating system support.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Domains, DNS, and enterprise infrastructure services.
- Intermediate Linux administration skills and experience with Windows and Linux patching and maintenance.
- Experience with change management processes and operational governance standards.
