Lead Groundskeeper | Facilities

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States; onsite position

Salary: $30–$36 USD per hour

What you will do

• Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flower beds, gardens, and other landscaped areas through mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, and mulching.
• Operate and safely maintain commercial landscaping equipment, including snowplows.
• Maintain parking lots, walkways, irrigation systems, and outdoor facilities; sweep and pressure wash as needed.
• Monitor the grounds, identify maintenance issues, and report them to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with pest control, tree service, and other specialized maintenance contractors.
• Supervise a junior groundskeeper during the landscaping season and perform winter snow removal and general facilities maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of grounds maintenance or landscaping experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of turf care, plantings, and landscape maintenance.
• Ability to operate commercial landscaping equipment and snowplows.

Nice to have

• Commercial property maintenance experience.
• Foreman or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with irrigation systems.
• Equipment repair and troubleshooting skills.
• Landscape design experience.
