Head of Computer Vision and Machine Learning (Robotics)

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead a team of computer vision and machine learning engineers working on robotics vision and data analysis initiatives.
• Define architecture and guide development of computer vision and machine learning models for current and future robotics products.
• Develop semantic and instance segmentation solutions using platforms such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Oversee the end-to-end process of gathering and augmenting data, creating balanced training, validation, and regression datasets, and evaluating model performance.
• Architect and scale model training pipelines and serving infrastructure.
• Mentor developers and identify additional opportunities to apply machine learning across the robotics system.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience leading a team of computer vision or machine learning engineers.
• At least 5 years of experience building ML datasets, data pipelines, and serving architecture.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ and Python, including optimized production code.
• Experience with RGBD datasets, point clouds, model architecture, training pipelines, and serving infrastructure at scale.
• Experience creating high-quality models, tests, and regression pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar cloud infrastructure for training and serving pipelines.
