Senior Computer Vision Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; hybrid work format.

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Turn research ideas, including transformers and new detection and classification methods, into production computer vision features.
• Design and build perception pipeline components on a stream-processing architecture using Flink/PyFlink.
• Train, evaluate, and optimize production computer vision models with Triton, TensorRT, and multi-backend serving.
• Develop tracking, filtering, probabilistic reasoning, and state-machine logic that converts model outputs into trustworthy incidents.
• Build observability through metrics, dashboards, and evaluation loops while reducing latency and infrastructure cost.
• Partner with platform, GTM, customer success, and data operations teams on deployments, labeling quality, and ML tooling adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production ML or computer vision systems.
• Strong Python skills; working knowledge of C++ or Go is beneficial.
• Experience with model serving and inference optimization, such as Triton or TensorRT.
• Experience with streaming or distributed data processing, such as Flink or Kafka.
• Experience building datasets, defining evaluation metrics, and detecting model regressions.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, ArgoCD, and AWS.

Nice to have

• Experience with the full computer vision data lifecycle, including collection, sampling, labeling, and curation.
• Experience with auto-labeling or embedding-based data search.
• Exposure to customer deployments or field-facing ML systems.
