Salary: $145,000–$175,350 per year, depending on skills, competency, and market demand.

Biopharmaceutical company developing novel treatments for life-threatening diseases through a platform combining chemistry, engineering, computation, and biology.

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end payroll processing, including bonuses, commissions, equity transactions, leave, terminations, relocations, and other complex employee events.
  • Oversee stock administration for stock options, RSUs, ESPPs, grants, vesting, exercises, releases, cancellations, and terminations.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, HR Operations, senior leadership, vendors, auditors, and external advisors on data, reporting, accounting, controls, and compliance.
  • Support stock-based compensation accounting and analysis under ASC 718, including forecasts, modifications, repricing, and equity pool tracking.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation, governance materials, reporting, and controls for payroll and equity processes.
  • Improve systems, integrations, workflows, and vendor relationships while supporting employees and leaders with payroll, tax, and equity matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a postgraduate degree in Finance, HR, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong payroll processing experience, including payroll operations, payroll tax compliance, controls, and audit requirements.
  • Extensive experience administering equity compensation programs in a high-growth public company environment.
  • Knowledge of equity vehicles, stock-based compensation accounting, tax implications, SEC requirements, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, build scalable processes, and partner effectively with executives, employees, auditors, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, analytical, influencing, and operational leadership skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in biotech, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience with E*TRADE Equity Edge Online and SAP SuccessFactors.
