Senior Treasury Operations Analyst (Biotech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Silver Spring, Maryland, United States; requires working from the office at least three days per week, with office attendance potentially increasing based on business needs.

Salary: $92,500–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Monitor daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts and platforms and prepare cash position reports for senior management.
• Execute and record wire transfers, ACH payments, and other treasury transactions while managing payment exceptions and positive pay processes.
• Support Accounts Payable with payment inquiries, foreign currency payment guidance, bank account validation, and returned-item resolution.
• Coordinate bi-monthly disbursement approvals, including cash analyses, SAP payment reviews, certifications, and expenditure memoranda.
• Manage banking and investment accounts, analyze fees, support investment reporting, and assist with financial statement disclosures.
• Identify automation opportunities and support treasury system implementations, upgrades, controls, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least five years of relevant treasury, accounting, or finance experience with a bachelor’s degree, or at least three years with a master’s degree.
• Knowledge of financial instruments, banking products, payment systems, account balances, banking fees, and cash positions.
• Experience with ERP and treasury management systems, preferably SAP and Kyriba.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, adaptability, and ability to manage time-sensitive daily deadlines.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP-AFP) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Knowledge of SOX controls, compliance requirements, and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience managing investment portfolios and understanding investment instruments.
• Experience with liquidity monitoring, cash forecasting, treasury operations, or large organizations.
