Machine Shop Technician (CNC/EDM)

Location: Fremont, California, United States; on-site. Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime.

Salary: $25.00–$28.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Prepare and set up production jobs for wire EDM and CNC milling operations.
• Load build plates, operate established CNC mill programs, and unload completed parts.
• Prepare tooling plates, work-holding fixtures, and tooling for machining and surface grinding.
• Inspect parts for obvious defects, deburr and clean components, and maintain accurate production records.
• Assist with tooling changes, machine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and production support.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area using 5S principles and follow quality procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining processes.
• Ability to read work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and basic shop equipment, with strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work reliably and collaboratively on the specified on-site shift.

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience.
