TL;DR
CNC Operator - Weekday Nights (CNC Machining): Operating and setting up CNC lathes and 3- or 4-axis milling machines to produce precision parts for aerospace, defense, satellite, and medical applications with an accent on tool offsets, blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and in-process inspection. Focus on maintaining dimensional quality, monitoring equipment and tooling, troubleshooting machining issues, and collaborating with Quality and Engineering on a weekday night shift.
Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite weekday night shift: Monday–Wednesday and every other Thursday, 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.
Hourly pay: $24–$33 for Level II or $28–$38 for Level III, plus a 10% weekday-night differential.

What you will do
- Operate and set up CNC lathes and 3- or 4-axis milling machines using FANUC, DMG MORI, and Okuma controls.
- Handle workholding, tool kitting, tool touch-offs, and offset establishment according to process sheets, drawings, and programs.
- Read manufacturing drawings and perform first-article and in-process inspections to maintain dimensional and visual quality.
- Monitor equipment and tooling, identify breakdowns or process disruptions, and troubleshoot machining issues.
- Support training for junior team members and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and other manufacturing staff.
- Maintain clean, orderly work areas and follow safety and quality procedures.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with 3- and 4-axis CNC milling centers, 2-axis and multi-axis machining, and live-tooling lathes.
- Experience with FANUC, DMG MORI, and Okuma controls.
- Ability to read blueprints and a strong understanding of GD&T.
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to follow and enforce health, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
Nice to have
- Experience using an offline tool presetter for tool offsets.
- Experience with quick-change tooling.
- Graduation from an Advanced Machine Technology course.
- Knowledge of 5S or 6S.
