CNC Operator - Weekend Nights

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; onsite manufacturing facility. The position is shift-based, with weekend coverage and a stated 15% differential for weekend nights; the description also references a weekend day-shift schedule.

Hourly pay: Level II $24–$33/hour; Level III $28–$38/hour, plus a 15% weekend-night differential.

What you will do

• Operate and set up CNC lathes and 3- or 4-axis milling machines using FANUC, DMG MORI, and Okuma controls.
• Handle workholding, tool kitting, tool touch-offs, offset establishment, and process instructions.
• Read manufacturing drawings and perform first-article and in-process inspections.
• Monitor equipment, tooling, dimensional quality, and visual quality during production.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and other team members.
• Support junior team members while maintaining clean, orderly, and safe work areas.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with 3- and 4-axis CNC milling centers, 2-axis and multi-axis machining, and live-tooling lathes.
• Experience with FANUC, DMG MORI, and Okuma controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and a strong understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to work in a team environment with good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow and enforce health, safety, and quality policies.

Nice to have

• Experience using an offline tool presetter for tool offsets.
• Experience with quick-change tooling.
• Graduate of an Advanced Machine Technology course.
• Knowledge of 5S/6S.
