Engineering Manager (Geospatial)

Location: New York City, United States; on-site at the NYC HQ

Salary: $200K–$300K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership across backend, frontend, and mobile technology stacks.
• Lead a team of five engineers working across multiple stacks.
• Build and maintain hirify.global Protect, a core product for fraud detection and compliance.
• Write code, review pull requests, and contribute hands-on to TypeScript, Rust, React, and mobile projects.
• Talk with customers and prospects, incorporate feedback, and help make customers successful.
• Participate in on-call rotation and ship major product improvements frequently.

Requirements

• Hands-on engineering management experience with the ability to build software and manage a team.
• Generalist engineering mindset and willingness to work across backend, frontend, mobile, and data stacks.
• Interest in speaking with customers or prospects and helping them succeed.
• Experience with TypeScript, Rust, React, mobile technologies, or related engineering stacks.
• Ability to work on-site at the NYC headquarters.

Nice to have

• Experience as a technical co-founder.
• Experience with high-throughput, high-growth SaaS applications.
• Experience with geospatial infrastructure or fraud detection.

Hiring process
