Engineering Manager, AI Intake

Location: U.S. Remote; must reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $220,000–$275,000 annually, based on experience and level.

What you will do

• Coach and support up to five engineers, focusing on career growth and technical development.
• Own team goals and roadmap execution while identifying and removing delivery blockers.
• Review architecture decision documents, conduct pre-launch risk assessments, and align systems with company goals.
• Lead technical discovery, feasibility analysis, and capacity estimation for future projects.
• Stay involved in the code through pull request reviews, design discussions, incident retrospectives, pairing, and targeted technical work.
• Represent the team and collaborate with Product, Design, leadership, and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Professional programming experience with open-source languages.
• At least five years of experience delivering software in a production environment.
• At least two years of management experience.
• Experience with agile methods, test-driven development, and robust software design principles.
• Must reside in the United States and have authorization to work in the U.S. for the duration of employment.
• This role is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, React, or TypeScript.
• Experience evaluating and testing LLM-powered workflows, including LangSmith or similar observability and evaluation tools.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, prompt lifecycle management, LangGraph, AutoGen, or other agent orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor.
• Experience improving business processes cross-functionally or serving as a technical lead with UX/UI and product management partners.
