What you will do

• Manage and coach up to 5 engineers to support their career growth and technical improvement.
• Maintain a hybrid IC/manager role with up to 50% hands-on coding contribution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy AI features for better user experience and operational efficiency.
• Drive software quality using TDD, flexible pair programming, and agile methodologies.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Work with product and design teams to shape the application and align with business goals.

Requirements

• Must reside in the United States.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering software in a production environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
• Experience with automated evaluation of LLM workflows, LangSmith, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks like LangGraph or AutoGen.

Nice to have

• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Background in designing goal-driven interviewing and hiring processes.
• Experience as a technical lead collaborating with UX/UI design and product management.
• Experience improving business processes through cross-functional collaboration.
