What you will do
- Manage and coach up to 5 engineers to support their career growth and technical improvement.
- Maintain a hybrid IC/manager role with up to 50% hands-on coding contribution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy AI features for better user experience and operational efficiency.
- Drive software quality using TDD, flexible pair programming, and agile methodologies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and availability.
- Work with product and design teams to shape the application and align with business goals.
Requirements
- Must reside in the United States.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering software in a production environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
- Experience with automated evaluation of LLM workflows, LangSmith, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks like LangGraph or AutoGen.
Nice to have
- Experience with React and TypeScript.
- Background in designing goal-driven interviewing and hiring processes.
- Experience as a technical lead collaborating with UX/UI design and product management.
- Experience improving business processes through cross-functional collaboration.
