Location: Based in the New York City Office

Salary: $205,000 – $261,500

What you will do

  • Oversee and mentor a team of software engineers as a player-coach to maintain and create new features.
  • Partner with Product and Design to define the long-term strategy and execute the quarterly roadmap.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to unify onboarding flows for full-time, contractor, and international hires.
  • Drive sound technical decision-making and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Attract, hire, and retain a high-performing team of engineers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve user experiences and make internal workflows more efficient.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer working on production web applications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing a team of engineers.
  • Must be based in the New York City office.
  • Solid understanding of core web technologies, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • High level of empathy and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
