Location: Based in the New York City Office
Salary: $205,000 – $261,500

What you will do
- Oversee and mentor a team of software engineers as a player-coach to maintain and create new features.
- Partner with Product and Design to define the long-term strategy and execute the quarterly roadmap.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to unify onboarding flows for full-time, contractor, and international hires.
- Drive sound technical decision-making and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Attract, hire, and retain a high-performing team of engineers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve user experiences and make internal workflows more efficient.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer working on production web applications.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience managing a team of engineers.
- Must be based in the New York City office.
- Solid understanding of core web technologies, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- High level of empathy and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
