Senior IT Operations Manager (Fintech)

Location: New York City, United States (hybrid)

Annual base salary: $135,000–$160,000

What you will do

• Build, mature, and scale the internal IT Operations function while overseeing an IT Support Specialist and coordinating with an MSP.
• Manage hardware provisioning, user onboarding and offboarding, VPN infrastructure, device certificates, and IT policies.
• Own identity and access management, including Okta SSO, SAML, SCIM, provisioning, deprovisioning, and role-based access control.
• Implement security configurations and manage firewalls, SIEM, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and cloud security controls.
• Lead third-party IT audit coordination for SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI, penetration testing, and SOX, including remediation planning.
• Improve incident response, documentation, Jira-based help desk processes, automation, security training, and operational standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years in a fast-growing technology company or startup.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally GCP, and experience administering an identity provider such as Okta.
• Experience managing an MSP and serving as the IT lead or primary liaison for SOC, PCI, penetration testing, or similar compliance audits.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001 and experience implementing security tools and monitoring systems.
• Hybrid work in New York City, United States; strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira for help desk or project management.
• CISSP, CISM, or an equivalent certification.
