Financial Analyst (CPG)

Location: Dallas, Texas, or Chicago, Illinois; onsite corporate office environment

Salary: $69,500–$102,100 per year

What you will do

• Manage price and promotion changes, including price trees and promotion calendars.
• Maintain pricing and trade promotion controls to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Analyze volume, profit, promotion effectiveness, ROI, and revenue opportunities.
• Support annual operating plans, monthly forecasts, month-close processes, and financial performance reviews.
• Prepare variance analyses, monthly scorecards, ad-hoc reports, and financial results presentations.
• Collaborate with Sales Finance, Commercial Finance, Operations Directors, General Managers, and Market Development Managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics.
• 1–3 years of experience in an analytical role such as Sales Finance or FP&A.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage large data sets.
• Ability to work in a professional corporate office environment and travel long distance by plane or train.

Nice to have

• CPG, Business Unit Finance, or Field Sales Organization experience.
• Power BI or other business intelligence software experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, MicroStrategy, Vistaar, or OneStream.
• Experience with Nielsen, IRI Circana, pricing data, or Trade Promotion Management and Optimization systems.
