Learning Experience Specialist & Editor (Learning Design and UX Writing): Editing and developing customer-facing learning and knowledge content in plain English with an accent on accessibility, localization, machine-translation readiness, and AI-enabled workflows. What you will do
- Edit and elevate customer-facing learning and knowledge content to plain-English standards.
- Structure clear, consistent, accessible content using user-experience and information-design principles.
- Maintain editorial frameworks, terminology, style guidance, templates, and content-quality processes.
- Design intuitive learner flows and contribute to UX writing, UX design, and digital learning solutions.
- Prepare content for localization, machine translation, and generative-AI workflows using defined tags and conventions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and use learner feedback, usability insights, and user research to improve learning impact.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Education, Linguistics, Technical Writing, Instructional Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in learning experience design, instructional design, adult learning, editing, or proofreading plain-English content.
- Experience with UX writing, UX design, learner-flow structuring, content-quality frameworks, and cross-functional review processes.
- Experience administering Learning Management Systems; familiarity with Content Management Systems is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of learning and digital authoring tools such as Articulate, Flare, or Camtasia, as well as AI-assisted tools and localization systems.
- Native English speaker required.
Nice to have
- Experience with TMS/CAT tools such as MemoQ, Power Platform, Figma, Adobe Photoshop, or TechSmith Snagit.
- Working knowledge of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Experience with learning and knowledge AI technologies, user research, usability reviews, or learner feedback sessions.
- Travel industry experience and GDS skills.
- Experience working in globally diverse teams and supporting terminology and style alignment under a senior editor or editorial lead.
