Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania; hybrid work with three days per week in the office

Salary: 96,000–120,000 RON base salary + bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Provide first- and second-line IT support to global users with clear communication and strong customer service.
• Manage incidents and service requests within SLAs using ITSM tools.
• Support the hardware and endpoint lifecycle across Mac, Windows, and Ubuntu/Linux devices.
• Maintain and improve the internal IT tool stack, including Google Workspace, Atlassian, Slack, JAMF/Mosyle, and Okta.
• Deliver onboarding and offboarding for employees and document support processes in Confluence.
• Contribute to IT best practices, security posture improvements, and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Hands-on experience with at least one operating system: Mac, Windows, or Ubuntu/Linux.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, resourceful approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and service desk workflows.
• Confident communication skills for supporting colleagues across different levels and time zones.
• Experience documenting processes and procedures clearly and accessibly.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, Jira Service Management, or HiBob.
• Experience supporting remote or hybrid environments.
• Awareness of information security principles and secure service delivery practices.
