Field Service Technician I (Water Quality Instrumentation)

Location: Remote role based in Tampa, Florida, or within 20 minutes of Tampa, United States. Daily travel to customer sites is required, typically within a 2-hour radius; occasional regional travel may last up to one week.

Salary: $29.00–$31.00 USD per hour, plus eligibility for incentive pay.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs, calibration, and verification of hirify.global instrumentation.
• Serve as the on-site technical and service contact for customers at drinking-water, wastewater, power, food-and-beverage, chemical, and other industrial facilities.
• Diagnose service issues and promote a positive customer experience.
• Prepare accurate service reports covering billing, inventory, instrument history, and failures.
• Follow company safety procedures and complete administrative activities supporting service visits.
• Travel daily to customer sites, with 65–75% of weekly travel typically involving overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to rent vehicles and book hotels under applicable state laws.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform preventive maintenance, technical diagnostics, and repairs.
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in municipal and industrial settings, including possible NEC Class I Division 2 hazardous locations.
• Ability to complete a 10-week training period, including field training and classroom training in Loveland, Colorado.

Nice to have

• At least two years of field service or customer-facing experience.
• Associate or technical degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one year of experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as ServiceMax or Salesforce.
