Field Service Technician, Battery Storage

Location: McCarran, Nevada, United States; travel up to 75% to remote and regional ESS sites

hirify.global is localizing the battery supply chain through battery recovery, reuse, recycling, energy storage, and production of battery materials in the United States.

What you will do

• Perform field repairs, troubleshooting, inspections, commissioning, and preventive maintenance on battery energy storage systems.
• Service electrical, mechanical, power electronics, and control systems, including high- and low-voltage equipment, inverters, and BMS.
• Respond to service requests, complete work orders, and maintain detailed field service documentation.
• Manage on-site projects and coordinate contractors and third-party vendors.
• Develop and refine standard work instructions for field service tasks.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and EHS teams to improve ESS deployment and service processes.

Requirements

• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, preferably with battery storage or ESS systems.
• Experience with electrical systems, inverters, battery management systems, and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with a safety-first mindset at remote locations.
• Proficiency with tools, diagnostic equipment, and field service documentation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb, bend, and work in outdoor and variable-temperature conditions.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
