Sr. Logistics Procurement Manager

Location: Chicago, Illinois; professional corporate office environment required. Domestic and international travel of approximately 25% may be required.

Salary: $113,500–$177,600 annually.

What you will do

• Own enterprise logistics procurement and category strategy across transportation, warehousing, drayage, ocean, LTL, repack materials, destruction services, and value-added services.
• Set sourcing roadmaps, bid calendars, category priorities, and multiyear procurement plans aligned with network design and business requirements.
• Lead total-cost models, market assessments, bid evaluations, scenario analyses, and executive decision support.
• Conduct supplier negotiations, strategic RFPs, contract renewals, commercial reviews, and pricing strategy discussions.
• Manage supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, improvement plans, contract value tracking, and escalation.
• Lead analysts and coordinate with Logistics Operations, Transportation, Warehousing, Finance, Legal, IT, Procurement, and external suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
• At least 3 years leading major sourcing events, category strategies, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and teams or large cross-functional programs.
• Deep knowledge of transportation procurement, carrier and 3PL management, contracting, bid optimization, supplier performance, and logistics market dynamics.
• Strong analytical, communication, people leadership, and executive reporting skills; experience with sourcing tools, ERP, TMS, spend analytics, and contract review is preferred.
• English required; candidates must be able to work in an office environment and travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Nice to have

• MBA or relevant advanced degree.
• CPSM, CPM, APICS, CSCP, or similar certification.
• Spanish proficiency.
