TL;DR
Master Facilities Technician (HVAC): Maintaining, upgrading, and expanding the Space Structures Complex facility with an accent on HVAC systems, building systems, and regulated manufacturing infrastructure. Focus on leading construction and renovation projects, implementing BMS/BAS systems, managing preventative maintenance, and responding to facility emergencies.
Location: Onsite in Middle River, Maryland, United States
Base pay: $36β$50 USD per hour

What you will do
- Lead facility expansion, renovation, construction, equipment installation, and commissioning or decommissioning projects.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade HVAC systems supporting sensitive manufacturing environments.
- Develop and execute preventative and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste-management systems.
- Manage daily facility operations, repairs, upgrades, ticket prioritization in JIRA, and work-order completion within budget.
- Support BMS/BAS implementation and maintain site safety, security, and cleanliness standards.
- Respond to facility emergencies, including after-hours and weekend calls, and provide occasional travel as needed.
Requirements
- 10+ years of HVAC maintenance experience and a high school diploma or GED.
- EPA 608 Universal License.
- Facility maintenance experience in aerospace, automotive, medical-device, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- For U.S. office roles, eligibility under U.S. Government ITAR export regulations is required, such as U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or applicable authorization.
- Ability to work around electrical hazards, chemical exposure, temperature variation, and noise; wear assigned PPE; move through production areas; lift up to 25 lbs.; and work extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts.
Nice to have
- Journeyman or Master HVACR license.
- Electrical journeyman license.
- PID setting, HVAC system design, or CAD experience.
- Facility BAS/BMS implementation or improvement-project experience.
- Contamination-control or cleanroom experience.
