Mechanical Engineer (Advanced Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Design equipment for process improvement and automation across the factory floor.
• Own equipment through design, testing, installation, commissioning, and long-term production validation.
• Collaborate with software, controls, and production teams to ensure equipment performs as intended.
• Develop and implement training programs for new equipment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of engineering experience with a track record of strong engineering fundamentals.
• Strong CAD experience; NX or SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience designing parts, systems, and mechanisms, preferably with composite or metallic materials.
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance in a fast-changing environment.
• Strong understanding of first-principles physics.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally and work for prolonged periods at a desk and computer.

Nice to have

• Basic proficiency in machining, metal fabrication, composites fabrication, or 3D printing.
• Coding or software knowledge in C++, Python, MATLAB, VBA, Arduino, or similar technologies.
• Experience working in startups or small teams.
