Salary: $105,000–$140,000 for Engineer and $140,000–$180,000 for Senior, plus equity

What you will do

  • Own subsystem-level mechanical design from CAD concepts and prototypes through mass production.
  • Integrate mechanical systems with sensors, actuators, and embedded control hardware.
  • Lead hands-on testing, design validation, and hardware iterations based on performance feedback.
  • Drive manufacturability, part selection, tolerance stack-ups, and scalable production decisions.
  • Apply thermal, structural, and materials engineering fundamentals to create robust, lightweight designs.
  • Develop test plans, technical documentation, engineering reviews, analytical models, simulations, and trade studies.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of mechanical engineering experience designing and prototyping mechanical systems, including professional, hobby, or academic experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong 3D modeling and CAD skills with tools such as NX or SolidWorks.
  • Hands-on ownership of end-to-end hardware development projects, such as FSAE, DBF, Rocket Team, or similar.
  • Programming experience with Python, MATLAB, or C++ for analytical modeling, simulation, and engineering problem-solving.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; the role may involve access to technology controlled under EAR and ITAR.

Nice to have

  • Experience with lightweight materials, composites, or additive manufacturing.
  • Experience with FEA or multiphysics software.
  • Knowledge of aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, or thermal management applied to mechanical systems.
