Manufacturing Engineer (Robotics)

Company

Production operations use Robocraftsman robotic manufacturing cells for forming, cutting, and part production.

What you will do

• Create forming and cutting tool paths using internal CAM tools.
• Develop and release manufacturing procedures for production teams.
• Own Robocraftsman cells as the primary user and maintain records of changes, improvements, and tests.
• Drive lean manufacturing improvements, reduce waste, and identify cell limitations with the Product Team.
• Test hardware and software upgrades, troubleshoot cell performance, and optimize production processes with Robotic Process Engineering.
• Support Production Technicians through technical guidance and training on new processes, tools, and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience in production-heavy environments.
• Hands-on experience designing, testing, and improving lean manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD, CAM software, and CNC programming.
• Experience with forming, machining, or sheet metal manufacturing, preferably in a job shop or similar production environment.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, manage priorities, and travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified manufacturing facility.
• Machine shop experience with a focus on quality standards.
• Knowledge of GD&T, precision assessment, lean manufacturing, safety, and compliance.
• Experience authoring technical documents, quality procedures, work instructions, and technical reports.
• Proficiency in surface modeling using CAD.
