Remarketing Auction Representative (Automotive)

Total compensation: $85,000–$92,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage repossessed vehicle inventory, including transport status, inspections, grading, reconditioning estimates, sale preparation, and sale bids.
• Monitor auction vendor performance, provide corrective recommendations, and coordinate follow-up on deficiencies.
• Conduct on-site reviews of auction procedures, inventory preparation, and sale effectiveness.
• Organize vendor status meetings, review scorecards and reports, and collaborate with auction management and internal departments.
• Negotiate arbitration claims, identify market arbitrage opportunities, and audit auction expenses and announcements.
• Maintain and report travel-related expenses according to company policies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related automotive or remarketing experience.
• Experience with vehicle valuation, reconditioning assessment, and wholesale remarketing channels.
• Knowledge of regional economic activity, seasonality, automotive trends, and used vehicle pricing.
• Ability to work independently under time constraints and manage competing deadlines.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal communication, and decision-making skills.
• Good PC skills and ability to work with multiple databases and platforms, including Daybreak, AutoIMS, RDN, Manheim Market Report, and CSAToday.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or college-equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with NAAA auction policies.
• Experience in frame assessment or condition report writing.
