Technical Specialist (Healthcare Software)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; office based. The role requires visits to client sites and implementation partners, with international travel potentially required.

What you will do

• Perform custom development for healthcare application implementations, including JavaScript customizations, interfaces, reports, extracts, data migration, upgrades, and conversions.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and support for related utilities such as patching and print services.
• Coordinate with clients, business analysts, and project managers on enhancements, reports, implementations, and acceptance issues.
• Participate in on-site technical implementations, client training, and the production of training materials.
• Prepare technical documentation, installation instructions, user guides, knowledge-base articles, and specifications.
• Participate in the 24-hour extended support service.

Requirements

• Knowledge of web-oriented languages, including HTML and JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL, data analysis, and database methodologies.
• Ability to design technical documents, develop training materials, and conduct technical training.
• Client-focused communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
• Ability to lead and deliver results within defined time frames, work outside office hours, and travel as required.
• University degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• HL7 programming experience and knowledge of Health Information Exchange standards and best practices.
• Experience with the employer's technology and healthcare systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted development, diagnostic, summarization, or monitoring tools, including LLM-based tools and effective prompt construction.
• Independence and confidence in ambiguous or unstructured situations.
