Software Engineer II - Carelink (C#/.NET)

Location: Hybrid in Galway, County Galway, Ireland

Salary: €51,280–€76,920 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, debug, document, and enhance integrated software solutions and existing components.
• Contribute to secure, scalable, and maintainable software architecture and communicate design decisions to technology leadership.
• Own software features throughout the software development lifecycle and develop reusable patterns that improve team velocity.
• Conduct design and code reviews covering coding practices, unit testing, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Apply advanced technical principles to solve complex problems and contribute to software-team process improvements.
• Collaborate with product owners, internal and external partners, and colleagues across multiple geographies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with Angular, C#, .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and browser developer tools.
• Knowledge of Web API, WCF, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, Kubernetes, SQL Server, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with NUnit, mocking frameworks, AWS or Azure, Docker, Git, GitHub, and CI/CD concepts.
• Strong software design, development, debugging, testing, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, YAML, Swagger, OpenAPI, SonarQube, Contrast, or JFrog X-Ray.
• Experience with ELK, Dynatrace, configuration management, Agile methodologies, Behavior-Driven Development, or open-source tools.
• Experience designing software for medical devices and writing engineering specifications.
