Senior Software Engineer

Location: Remote anywhere in the United States

Salary: $110K–$135K annually

What you will do

• Design, construct, test, and debug technical solutions in line with engineering standards.
• Estimate effort, complete work within schedules, and take responsibility for assigned project components.
• Identify system and process deficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Resolve complex development issues and support software modernization using AI-assisted development tools and techniques.
• Help prioritize tasks for junior staff and support development deadlines.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial product development experience.
• Master’s degree with 3 years of experience or bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in a related computer or engineering field.
• Proficiency in more than one of RPG, CL, DB2 SQL, SQL procedures, and user-defined functions.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, software version control, and unit, system, integration, and performance testing.
• Experience shipping software products, working in agile distributed environments, and developing cross-platform solutions.
• Strong analytical, communication, technical writing, coaching, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the MEDHOST PIF system, including relevant technical responsibilities and experience.
• Knowledge of cross-platform development.
