TL;DR
Lead Vehicle Integration Technician (Aerospace): Installing and testing avionics, mechanical components, wiring harnesses, and high-voltage batteries on Neutron launch vehicles with an accent on precision assembly, inspection, and multidisciplinary production work. Focus on integrating vehicle systems, performing crimping, soldering, and harness termination, and solving testing and troubleshooting challenges under tight launch schedules.

Location: Middle River, Maryland, United States; regular onsite presence and the ability to commute to buildings required.

Base pay range: $35–$40 USD per hour for Maryland.

hirify.global is an end-to-end aerospace company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems, including the reusable Neutron launch vehicle.

What you will do

  • Install avionics and mechanical components, wiring harnesses, and high-voltage batteries on Neutron launch vehicles.
  • Use tools, equipment, and facilities to build, launch, and test launch vehicles and components.
  • Perform precision assembly work including crimping, soldering, and harness termination.
  • Inspect components and assemblies against stringent workmanship standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet production and launch schedules.
  • Set up local 5S work centers and manage shifting high-priority tasks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience assembling and testing fluid, avionics, or vehicle components, or performing systems testing and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to meet the role’s visual, physical, communication, and equipment-operation requirements.
  • For work in U.S. offices, eligibility to access ITAR-controlled technology is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylee status, or the ability to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Maintenance experience including troubleshooting, precision cleaning, disassembly and assembly, and system testing.
  • Experience operating forklifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, power tools, and torque wrenches.
  • Cleanroom experience and knowledge of ISO cleanliness standards.
  • Tube bending, tube flaring, mechanical assembly, avionics installation, or harness routing experience.
