Salary: $216,695–$325,042 annually; the range is specific to Washington State.

What you will do
- Lead global accounting functions, including general ledger, consolidations, project accounting, fixed assets, payables, receivables, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP and external SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
- Provide executive oversight of technical accounting, corporate transactions, acquisitions, financing activities, government funding arrangements, and capital projects.
- Design and maintain internal controls and lead Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, risk assessments, testing, remediation, and management certifications.
- Direct accounting and reporting for large-scale engineering, construction, infrastructure, and development projects, including federal grants and cost-share programs.
- Build and develop a scalable, high-performing accounting organization and advise the CFO, executive leadership, and Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and an active CPA license.
- At least 18 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 10 or more years leading large accounting and financial reporting organizations.
- Executive-level experience as a Chief Accounting Officer, VP Accounting, Assistant Controller, Corporate Controller, or equivalent in a public company environment.
- Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, technical accounting, consolidations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience leading SOX compliance programs, internal controls over financial reporting, external audits, and Big Four audit relationships.
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to senior leadership, executive committees, and Boards of Directors.
Nice to have
- Experience in energy, utilities, nuclear, engineering, construction, aerospace, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, or other capital-intensive industries.
- Experience with complex project accounting, long-duration development programs, government contracting, Department of Energy programs, federal grants, or cost-share agreements.
- Experience supporting public company transformations, spin-offs, mergers, or large-scale corporate transactions.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, enterprise consolidation systems, advanced reporting technologies, and multinational accounting operations.
