Senior Counsel

Location: Los Angeles, California; remote, hybrid, or onsite work options are available

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional annual billable-hours bonuses are available.

What you will do

• Develop compelling case themes and defense strategies for complex litigation.
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, discovery, and trials.
• Manage full case-handling responsibilities from initial preparation through trial.
• Communicate routinely with clients and cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Lead litigation teams and provide direction and mentoring to less experienced attorneys.
• Collaborate with attorneys across experience levels while maintaining high standards of advocacy.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active bar license in California is required.
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience, including litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Experience managing discovery and all facets of case handling through trial.
• Experience with insurance defense matters is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus experience with time-management systems.
