Senior Trial Attorney

Location: Hybrid role based out of the San Antonio, Texas or Irving, Texas offices, with office attendance required 3 days per week. Remote candidates residing and licensed in South Texas may occasionally be considered for critical industry skills and relevant experience.

Salary: $138,000–$243,000 annually. Expected starting salary range: $138,000–$206,000.

What you will do

• Independently manage complex commercial litigation, construction defect, insurance defense, and subrogation matters from inception through resolution or trial.
• Serve as lead trial counsel in jury and bench trials, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
• Develop litigation strategies covering liability, damages, insurance coverage, risk transfer, indemnity, contractual disputes, and subrogation recovery.
• Evaluate liability exposure, damages, settlement authority, recovery potential, and trial strategy for clients and claims professionals.
• Build relationships with clients, claims partners, experts, business partners, and legal professionals while supporting case referrals and business development.
• Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff and collaborate with support teams using litigation technology and case management systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 15+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Extensive experience in insurance defense and subrogation litigation, with significant experience in complex commercial litigation and construction defect matters.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage high-exposure cases through discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, settlement negotiations, and trial.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license in the state where the position is located is required.
• Advanced trial advocacy, legal research, writing, negotiation, analytical, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
