Clinical Laboratory Supervisor (Medical Laboratory Science)

What you will do

• Lead the setup, validation, and compliant go-live of the Miami clinical laboratory.
• Validate Abbott Alinity instruments and assays, including accuracy, precision, reportable range, reference intervals, and analytical performance.
• Establish SOPs, workflows, validation practices, quality control, maintenance, and corrective-action processes.
• Own instrument performance, testing quality, turnaround times, reliability, and inspection readiness after launch.
• Manage, coach, and develop the Laboratory Technologist team through feedback, technical guidance, and mentorship.
• Serve as the on-site escalation point for technical, operational, and laboratory quality issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in high-complexity clinical laboratory environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Active Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license covering clinical chemistry, immunology, and hematology.
• Hands-on experience with automated chemistry and immunoassay platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with laboratory validation, quality systems, and CLIA requirements.
• Ability to work on-site in Miami.

Nice to have

• MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Abbott Alinity or Abbott ARCHITECT platforms.
• Ownership of laboratory setup, instrument validation, or go-live activities.
• Experience overseeing clinical laboratory operations.
• Familiarity with LIS platforms such as Epic or Cerner.
