Clinical Laboratory Supervisor

What you will do

• Lead the setup, validation, and compliant go-live of an on-site clinical laboratory under CLIA, CMS, and Florida state regulations.
• Validate Abbott Alinity instruments and assays, including accuracy, precision, reportable range, reference intervals, and analytical performance.
• Establish repeatable SOPs, workflows, validation practices, and inspection-ready documentation.
• Own instrument performance, testing quality, turnaround times, quality control, maintenance, and corrective actions during ongoing operations.
• Act as the on-site escalation point for technical, operational, and laboratory quality issues.
• Manage, coach, and develop the Laboratory Technologist team through feedback, technical guidance, and mentorship.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in high-complexity clinical laboratory environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Active Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license with specialty coverage for clinical chemistry, immunology, and hematology.
• Hands-on experience with automated chemistry and immunoassay platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with laboratory validation, quality systems, and CLIA requirements.

Nice to have

• MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Abbott Alinity or Abbott ARCHITECT platforms.
• Previous ownership of laboratory setup, instrument validation, or go-live activities.
• Experience overseeing day-to-day clinical laboratory operations.
• Familiarity with LIS platforms such as Epic or Cerner.
