Director - Private Markets Accounting

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY; Boston, MA; or Union, NJ

What you will do

• Lead teams delivering private markets fund administration services to clients.
• Manage client implementations, onboarding, and ongoing client relationships.
• Oversee audited and unaudited financial statements, partner capital statements, and supporting work papers.
• Review fund deliverables, including gains and losses, management fees, investor allocations, investment data, and partner capital allocations.
• Maintain and review general ledgers, subledgers, trial balances, reporting calendars, and client metrics under IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
• Manage year-end audits and develop robust review procedures in collaboration with clients and auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 9+ years of accounting experience focused on private equity or real asset funds.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting, particularly investment partnerships.
• Experience with consolidated financial statements and minority interest.
• Leadership experience, including training, delegation, and work review.
• Strong client relationship, project management, communication, Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel skills.
