Associate Director - Accounting

Location: Somerset, New Jersey, USA

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annual pay range, including base salary and bonus

What you will do

• Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger oversight, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and sub-ledger integrity.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and deliver accurate financial results.
• Prepare monthly internal reporting packages covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis, trends, and KPIs.
• Maintain the internal control framework, support GAAP compliance, and coordinate external audit requests.
• Lead and mentor accountants while partnering with FP&A, Payroll, Finance Operations, Procurement, IT, and Operations.
• Drive accounting process automation, ERP enhancements, reporting standardization, UAT, and rollout training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA certification.
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leaderhirify.globalp in financial close and internal reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial analysis, and interpretation of large datasets.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; SAP experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, motivate, and mentor an accounting team.
• Work location: Somerset, New Jersey, USA.
