Manufacturing Cell Technician / Operator - First Shift (Robotics)

Location: Chatsworth, California, United States; on-site, first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime, extended hours, schedule changes, and occasional weekends may be required.

What you will do

• Safely operate machinery and robotic manufacturing equipment.
• Load, unload, position, align, and secure aluminum and steel panels and components.
• Verify materials, tooling, fixtures, setups, and orientations before production.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, routers, travelers, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor equipment, identify alarms and defects, perform authorized adjustments, and escalate process issues.
• Complete production and quality documentation, perform in-process inspections, and support 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, assembly, or industrial production preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using common hand and torque tools.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing documentation and safely handle aluminum and steel panels.
• Comfort working around automated machinery and robotic equipment, with strong attention to safety and product quality.
• Ability to work on-site in Chatsworth and support production schedules, including overtime or occasional weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, CNC, fabrication, or high-mix/low-volume production.
• Experience with robotic equipment, tooling, fixtures, clamps, machine setups, and torque tools.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, dimensional requirements, ISO 9001, or AS9100D.
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, FOD prevention, ERP/MRP systems, or electronic work instructions.
