Build Technician - Weekend Night Shift (Injection Molding)

Location: Rosemount, Minnesota, United States; on-site. Weekend night shift: Thursday 12:00 a.m.–6:00 a.m., Friday and Saturday 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m., and Sunday 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status. Temporary visa holders are not eligible.

Salary: $17.07–$23.13 per hour, plus a $3.40 shift differential.

What you will do

• Prepare, deburr, drill, tap, grind, cut, and polish injection mold components to specified finish levels.
• Assemble molds, cams, ejector pins, guide pins, support pillars, vents, cores, and related components.
• Perform advanced mold preparation, including pin cutter calibration, fly-cutting mold backs, contouring ejector pins, and installing repair plugs.
• Identify mold issues, evaluate and resolve rework, and write rework flags as assigned.
• Inspect completed work and maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient production area.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical aptitude and experience using measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages.
• Experience with power tools used in a metalworking shop; drill press experience is a plus.
• Ability to use sharp tools safely, perform basic arithmetic, and work with computers and calculators.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent, punctuality, good attendance, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift, lift and carry up to 70 pounds, and perform reaching, bending, and grasping.
