Senior Firmware Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Location: New York City, on-site

Salary: $130K–$180K per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and develop firmware for embedded systems across the full product lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define and implement firmware requirements.
• Perform system integration testing to validate firmware functionality.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex firmware and hardware issues.
• Document firmware design and development processes.
• Work with manufacturing partners to support product delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of firmware development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with hardware design and documentation.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with capacitive sensors and/or sensor fusion.
