Senior/Staff Industrial Engineer (Photonics Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Analyze production workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve cycle times and throughput.
• Conduct time and motion studies, establish labor standards, and identify process inefficiencies.
• Design and optimize production lines and factory layouts using CAD, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Plan capacity, allocate resources, optimize equipment utilization, and improve material flow from receiving through shipping.
• Monitor defect rates, investigate root causes, control production costs, and justify capital expenditures for machinery and equipment.
• Apply ergonomic and safety principles across production areas and automated machinery cells while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience, preferably in semiconductor, optoelectronics, or volume engineering.
• Experience with production line setup, capacity planning, resource management, workflow optimization, and time and motion studies.
• Proficiency with CAD, AutoCAD, or similar tools for factory layout and design.
• Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing tools, including 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Experience with production data analysis, cost tracking, capital expenditure justification, waste reduction, ergonomics, and OSHA compliance.
