TL;DR
Corporate Practice Manager (Legal Operations): Supporting Corporate Practice Group associates through workflow management, career development, staffing, training, and strategic initiatives with an accent on associate utilization, data analysis, and responsible AI adoption. Focus on managing free-market workflow allocation, identifying resource gaps, coordinating development programs, and implementing AI-enabled efficiencies across the practice group.

Location: Any hirify.global U.S. office except Washington, D.C.; three days of in-office presence per week are required, with additional onsite days as needed.

Salary: $138,000–$206,250 annually, plus a potential discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Support Corporate associates with workflow, bandwidth, time management, career development, and integration.
  • Manage work allocation and utilization in the free market workflow system, supporting partners and associates with staffing matters.
  • Evaluate practice group needs, analyze group-related data, identify resource gaps, and support recruiting efforts.
  • Coordinate orientation, lateral and junior associate integration, off-boarding, engagement, morale initiatives, and in-office collaboration.
  • Plan and conduct attorney training with partners, Practice Support Lawyers, and Legal Training teams.
  • Support AI initiatives by identifying efficiency opportunities, testing and rolling out tools, and developing responsible-use training.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of manager-level experience at a law firm or in professional services preferred.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and relationship-building ability.
  • Experience with data analytics, business improvement processes, organization, prioritization, and deadline management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong service orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn additional software quickly.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA is a plus.
