LTVS Systems Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Hawthorne, California; onsite. The internship begins in spring or summer 2026 and lasts 3–6 months. Relocation support and a housing stipend are available for interns who relocate within 10 miles of the office.

Compensation: $30.00 per hour

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates multipurpose commercial planetary rovers to support exploration and operations on distant planetary bodies.

What you will do

• Collaborate with responsible engineers to develop verification and validation artifacts for program and NASA review.
• Use Jira and systems engineering tools to manage V&V processes, track progress, and deliver verification materials to NASA.
• Build scripts and reporting tools to improve review clarity for hirify.global and NASA stakeholders.
• Implement Interface Control Documents for NASA systems interfacing with the lunar terrain vehicle.
• Support technical deliverables in accordance with NASA instructions.
• Contribute to Human Systems Integration through requirements flow-down, human-in-the-loop evaluations, human factors feedback tracking, and interactive UI wireframes in Figma.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or a closely related STEM field.
• Experience supporting engineering, robotics, aerospace, or other complex technical systems.
• Experience coordinating technical information or deliverables across multiple teams or stakeholders.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience with systems engineering processes, requirements management, verification and validation, or interface management.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar project or systems engineering tools.
• Experience with space, robotics, automotive, or other complex vehicle systems.
• Experience preparing technical documentation or communicating technical information to engineering teams.
