Senior Field Application Engineer - 2nd Shift (Robotics)

Location: Mountain View, United States; second shift from 2pm to 10pm; domestic and international travel up to 30%.

Salary: $101,000–$120,000 annually, plus an annual bonus structure.

What you will do

• Lead the technical execution of customer pilots, proof-of-concepts, roadshows, and product demonstrations.
• Design site-specific solutions, oversee solution architecture and commissioning, and optimize the integration lifecycle.
• Monitor system performance, analyze logs, troubleshoot complex field issues, and coordinate immediate and permanent fixes.
• Develop custom tools and scalable technical solutions that streamline integrations and improve system performance.
• Deliver advanced training to customer and partner development teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to turn customer feedback into product improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in field application engineering, systems integration, or technical support for complex hardware/software products, preferably in robotics or industrial automation.
• Experience with AutoCAD or comparable software, electro-mechanical systems, sensors, actuators, firmware, Linux-based operating systems, and network architecture.
• Strong customer-facing experience delivering advanced technical solutions and managing long-term relationships.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive, technical, and non-technical audiences.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge of networking protocols, routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and network security.
• Experience with Ubuntu, scripting, Python, C++, TypeScript, Kotlin, or other modern programming languages.
